Time . . .
Where DOES the time go . . . if anyone is following this blog - which is, of course, EXTREMELY unlikely - many apologies for it being so rubbish and sporadic! :-)

No Way!!
That was a very long pause for breath!! :-)
I cannot believe I have not added a blog for well over a year . . . I'll need to try to figure out ways to write more frequently . . .
Just joined the world of twitter - twitter.com/darren_bourne . . . for some reason the system has swallowed darrenbourne, which is presumably being used to download porn somewhere in China, so I'll have to make do with the hyphen.
Haven't got a clue what to tweet about - seems less stressful than blogging though, if only in terms of amount of effort required!

Free Album Download!
After struggling with a way forward in getting the debut album out, we've decided to be brave and put the whole thing on the web for FREE download . . . You get to it from the opening page of the site - enjoy! Share with your friends and let us know what you think.
Hope you like it - it took a while to put together and it's mastered by Dallas Simpson, which we're really pleased about. Any thoughts would be welcome - we're currently working on our second album, which more or less starts off from where the first one finishes . . .

Tax Return
It's that time of year again . . . why do I always leave it until the very last minute? The return has to be filed by 31st January, otherwise you get fined £100 :-(
What is it that makes humans so very lazy . . . unless it's something you want to do or enjoy doing? It's bad enough that we make excuses to others, but it gets eally interesting when we start making excuses to ourselves! What does that mean? Who's lying to who, and how?!
What an amazing thing is the process of 'denial' . . . As Alan Watts would say, 'Who is it who knows there is no ego?' :-)
Anyway, hope everyone's having a wonderful new year so far . . . I'd better get back to my tax return!! :-)

Things Going Wrong
Isn't it great when things go wrong? I'm just working on a new track, and there are two starting points inspiring me most.
Firstly, there's another track which we burned to CD to listen back, but because it was in the 'wrong' file format it got totally screwed up - beyond all recognition. It mainly sounds like noise, but there are some interesting bits which I'm looking at using in the new track.
Secondly, I picked up a cheap set of CDs yesterday in the 'reduced to clear' pile at Waterstones. The CDs happen to be a talking book on Buddhism, but the last CD of 4 is split near the centre so didn't transfer properly into iTunes - It's extremely 'skippy' and definitely worth playing with as one of the sounds to start building with . . .
Maybe you'll hear the finished results at some point! :-)
